That’s a line from Beyonce’s song, Run the World. Although girls don’t technically run the world—far from it, actually—women are slowly starting to take on roles that have been historically held by men.

Last week, New Zealand elected Jacinda Ardern to be their next Prime Minister. She will be one of only three women who have ever held that position. But what makes her even more special? Besides the fact that she’s been a member of Parliament since she was twenty-eight, she’s now also the world’s youngest female leader at the age of thirty-seven. Although her win has the world talking, the internet has also gone wild over something else: her cat! Yes, not only has Ms. Ardern won over many fans, her cat, Paddles, has too. But Paddles wants you to know that she’s an “Independent cat—not affurliated with the Labour Pawty.” Now that’s what we call the purrfect match!
