Warriors show their strength in numbers

Warriors at Wizards 2/3/16

The Warriors solidi ed their place in the playoffs in March, but it was on April 14th, 2016 that the Golden State Warriors made N.B.A. history and gave their fans even more to cheer about: 73 wins in a single season. The Warriors achieved the greatest number of wins in a season, surpassing the Chicago Bulls record from the 1995-1996 season.

Sailing into the playoffs with the team in good health, most sports analysts (those who look at professional sports and take an educated guess on how each team will perform) thought that the Warriors would head into the finals with no problem.

But that all came into question when Stephen Curry, one of the Warriors’ star
players, injured himself twice during the rst round playo s and was told
that he could not play for at least two weeks. Can one player a ect the results
of a team sport? Some analysts seemed to think so, but the Warriors proved
them wrong by winning games without Curry. Curry has since returned and
the Warriors are now in the semi- finals. We don’t know about you, but we’re convinced that their wins were, and continue to be, all about #StrengthInNumbers.
