Then & Now: NCAA Basketball Champions

April 17, 2017

WHAT HAPPENED: It was all about March Madness last month, a time when a flurry of college basketball games are played until a champion is determined. Sixty-eight teams from the men’s division and sixty-four teams from the women’s division competed to see who would take home the title of champion in each division.

NOW WHAT: It seemed like certain teams just couldn’t be beat (the UConn women’s basketball team won 111 games in a row before they were stopped!), but the women of the University of South Carolina beat the women of Mississippi  State to claim the title of champion. On the men’s side, the University of North Carolina beat Gonzaga University for the championship.

Way to go, Gamecocks and Tar Heels!
