“The Greatest” Boxer Fights His Final Battle

June 7, 2016

“Float like a butterfly. Sting like a bee!”

And that’s what Muhammad Ali did in the boxing ring to knockdown his opponents and claim three heavyweight boxing championship titles. He died this month at the age of 74. But Muhammad Ali wasn’t just known for his boxing – he fought outside the ring too, not with his fists but with his actions and words. He fought for what he thought was right, including refusing to join the armed forces and fight in the Vietnam War and lending his voice to fight racial injustice. He certainly lived up to his nickname: “The Greatest.”
