International Women’s Day: How Far We’ve Come, How Far We Still Need to Go

Do you know that there’s a day to celebrate the achievements of women? It’s called International Women’s Day and on March 8th people from around the world paused to acknowledge the impact that women have had on the world.

Wondering why there isn’t an International Men’s Day? Don’t worry guys, we’re not forgetting about you (you’ve achieved a lot too), but despite what women have achieved, they still aren’t treated the same as men.

Did you know that in the United States, on average, women make $0.80 for every $1.00 that men make for doing the exact same job? Did you know that in some parts of the world, women aren’t allowed to own land, and schools are attacked for educating girls? Yes, despite all the advancements and achievements of women, there are still disparities between men and women, and women have to continue to fight for equality. Check out our video below!
