State of the Union

February 24, 2016

How is the United States doing, Mr.President?

At the beginning of every year, the President of the United States makes a speech in front of Congress to share his thoughts on how the country
is doing and what still needs to be done. This is called the State of the Union address. In January, President Obama gave his last State of the Union address. He highlighted his accomplishments over the last eight years like helping America recover from an economic crisis, making gay marriage legal, and creating a universal health care program. He also talked about how he hopes the next president will continue efforts towards building an even better country. Thanks for your eight years of service, Mr. President!
