It’s been a month since President Trump took office and it seems like he hasn’t wasted any time. In fact, he’s already signed 26 executive orders, met with world leaders, started the process of repealing the Affordable Care Act, nominated a Supreme Court justice, and picked members for his cabinet, just to name a few.
To his supporters, he has done exactly what he had promised them — quick actions to “Make America Great Again!” But to others, his actions have done the exact opposite. Perhaps one of the most controversial was his immigration ban on seven Muslim-majority countries: people formed large protests at airports against it, and judges declared the ban unconstitutional.
His nominations for Attorney General and Secretary of Education were so controversial that one was barely confirmed by the Senate, and the other was only confirmed after a historic tie- breaking vote by Vice President Mike Pence — no other nominee has ever had to have a Vice President use his vote to push through a nomination. President Trump’s National Security Advisor Mike Flynn resigned only three weeks on the job after it was discovered that he had conversations with Russia before Donald Trump officially became President of the United States — a big no, no!
So, how is President Trump doing in his first month of office? Well, it really depends on who you’re asking. Do you think President Trump is doing a good job? What grade (A, B, C, D, or F) would you give him and why?
