When the NBA suspended all games in mid-March because of the COVID-19 pandemic, no one knew when they’d return or if they’d return to close out the 2019-2020 season. After all, deadly viruses don’t exactly give you a heads up as to when they’re done wreaking havoc on the world, right? All kidding aside, basketball fans do have something to look forward to come late July. Twenty-two of the thirty NBA teams will return for an eight-game season finisher with a potential tournament to determine the last seed in each conference. While postseason games will still be determined in a best-of-seven games format, the schedule for these games will most likely be condensed. In other words, most of these series will be completed within a two-week timeframe. Short and sweet, but we’ll take it!
