Who’s the fastest person in the world? That’s easy—it’s Usain Bolt. He holds nine Olympic gold medals, eleven track and field World Championship gold medals, countless world records, and is considered one of the most naturally gifted athletes in the world. Very impressive, indeed. But recently, someone broke his record for the most gold medals won at the World Championships. USA Olympic sprinter Allyson Felix broke Bolt’s record when she won her twelfth gold medal in the mixed-gender 4×400 relay earlier this week. What did Felix have to save when she broke the record? “Humbled.” Not only did she break an incredible record, but she did it after becoming a mom last year. Will she break another one of Bolt’s medal records at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics? We’ll just have to wait and see. Congratulations, Allyson Felix!
