Thousands of People Make Their Voices Heard on Earth Day
Ah, Earth. It’s the planet that we call home. It’s the planet that provides for us, shelters us, and gives us the nutrients that we need to, well, stay alive! Dramatic? Maybe, but it’s true. So why not celebrate planet Earth by remembering what we all need to do to keep our home in tip-top shape? On April 22nd, people in 192 countries did just that. Some celebrated by participating in cleanups, others by teaching people about climate change and ways that we can protect the planet, and 600 cities from around the world recognized Earth Day by participating in the March for Science—a global demonstration about the importance of science.
