Hear ye, Hear ye! There’s a new member of the British Royal family. Earlier this week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, announced the arrival of their baby boy: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. That’s a royal name, if you ask us! But how did we find out about this much-anticipated arrival? Well, we heard from the Duke and Duchess’ official Instagram account (yeah, they’re hip that way!), but if we were walking by Buckingham Palace, we would have seen an official golden easel with the announcement of the baby’s arrival leaning against it.
While the arrival of a new royal baby has always drawn a lot of attention (they’re cute, royal, and in line to the throne, after all!), it seems as though baby Sussex has drawn even more attention than usual. Why? Besides the fact that he’s seventh in line to the British throne, he’s also the first biracial British royal baby, will most likely hold both British and American citizenship, and has become a symbol of a changing United Kingdom. Yeah, we’d say he’s a pretty big deal. Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex!
