There are all sorts of awards … best play, best actor, best album, song of the year … to name a few. But did you know that there’s an award for the World’s Ugliest Dog? It’s an interesting title that isn’t actually about the physical looks of an animal at all—not really, at least. It’s been thirty years since the inaugural World’s Ugliest Dog Contest was held to promote the beauty—yes, we said beauty—of all dogs. The idea is that beauty is really in the eye of the beholder. So true, right? This year, Zsa Zsa, a long-tongued rescue bulldog from Minnesota, won the hearts of all the judges. Her owners weren’t surprised that she won because when they saw her at a rescue center, they also fell in love with her at first sight. What do you think? Is Zsa Zsa the world’s ugliest dog or the world’s most beautiful dog? We think she’s gorgeous.
