A Bedroom in Space

 What’s next? A House?

Perhaps. But first thing’s first: a Bigelow Expandable Activity Module or BEAM for short. What is that, you might ask? It’s an inflatable unit that expands to the size of a small bedroom. This BEAM was recently delivered to the International Space Station by a “Dragon”. Well, not really a fire-breathing dragon, but a spacecraft named “Dragon”. Awesome, right? But what’s even more awesome is how it was delivered, or captured to be exact. An astronaut used robot arms to grab the spacecraft while it was orbiting 250 miles above earth! That grab meant that NASA is now able to test out the BEAM in outer space to see if people might be able to live somewhere like Mars one day.
